Calvary Baptist Church

Who we are

In our congregation, we are united by our faith in Jesus Christ, anchored in the timeless truths of God's Word. As we gather together, we embrace the teachings and principles found within the pages of Scripture.

In Acts 2:42, we read about the early believers who devoted themselves to the apostles' teaching, fellowship, breaking of bread, and prayer. Similarly, our community values the importance of studying God's Word, growing in knowledge, and applying biblical truths to our daily lives.

Our congregation is passionate about worship, as Psalm 95:1-2 encourages us to "come before him with joyful songs" and to "shout for joy to the Rock of our salvation." Through heartfelt praise, uplifting music, and the proclamation of God's Word, we seek to glorify Him and draw near to His presence.

We are a community that believes in the power of prayer, following the example of Jesus Himself. In Philippians 4:6, we are reminded to "not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God." Prayer is central to our fellowship, as we intercede for one another, seeking God's guidance, comfort, and transformation.

Our congregation values discipleship and the Great Commission. Matthew 28:19-20 reminds us to "go and make disciples of all nations." We strive to equip believers with the tools and support needed to grow in their faith, fostering a culture of spiritual growth and maturity.

Within our community, we find encouragement, support, and accountability. Hebrews 10:24-25 exhorts us to "consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds, not giving up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but encouraging one another." We are committed to fostering authentic relationships, loving and caring for one another as a reflection of Christ's love.

In all that we do, we seek to live out the two greatest commandments as Jesus taught: to love God with all our heart, soul, and mind, and to love our neighbors as ourselves (Matthew 22:37-39). It is through these guiding principles that we strive to impact our community, sharing the hope and love of Christ with those around us.

We invite you to join our vibrant congregation, where we embrace the teachings of Scripture, worship in spirit and truth, and seek to follow Jesus wholeheartedly. Together, let us grow in faith, walk in love, and make a difference in the world for the glory of God.
